Trench coats, blazers and longer coats
Trench coats do their best work in the weeks nobody can quite name, the ones between one season and the next. Pockets are set low, where a hand already is. A belt sits at the waist, with the loops at the natural line. Sleeves run to the wrist, with a tab at the cuff on some of them.
Longer coats and shorter jackets
The longer coats sit over everything else. A blazer handles the in-between, and in this city the in-between runs long. Buttons are single on most of them and doubled on a few. Mid-calf is where the longest of them stops.
