Tailoring

Tailored pants and a blazer over a dress

Put a blazer over a dress and nobody asks after the rest of the suit. Over jeans it looks like it was meant to be there all along. A skirt turns up beside things that were never tailored at all. The legs run straight or wider, and both break once above the shoe. A waistband sits high enough that a shirt can go in or stay out.

Tailored shorts and a skirt to the calf

Colour narrows fast. The deeper tones handle the cold months and the lighter ones handle everything after, with very little sitting in between. Shorts belong to the warm half of the year, sitting just above the knee and flat at the front. The rest of the year goes to the pants. A skirt runs to the calf.
