RETURNS POLICY
We offer free returns on all non-Archive items in Australia. Return your item within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided:
- Items are unworn (aside from try-on), unwashed, and in original condition with tags attached.
- Returns include your order confirmation and a completed form with an approved return authorisation number which is the same as your order number.
- Item is not marked as Archive/Final Sale.
Please note that while Returns of non-Archive items within Australia are free, shipping costs are non-refundable. International customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
RETURN ONLINE
Ensure your item meets the conditions of our Free Returns Policy before lodging your return. Please allow up to 5 business days for your refund to be processed after your return parcel has been received by our team.
Step 1
Enter your Order ID and return details via our Aus Post Returns Portal within 14 days of purchase. Your Order ID can be found on the bottom of your Order Confirmation Email.
Step 2
Pack your item, ensure its in original condition, unworn with tags still attached, along with meeting policy criteria.
Step 3
Print your free Returns Label and attach it at the top of the parcel. Drop your parcel at any post box, Post Office or Parcel Locker.
Unless required by local law, Archive or Final Sale styles, gift cards (including eGift Cards), hair accessories and jewellery are excluded from this returns policy and cannot be returned because of change of mind or incorrect size/fit.
Elka Collective reserves the right not to accept the return of a faulty product where we inspect the product and reasonably assess that the fault is a result of:
- Damage caused by neglect or misuse (for example, treatment inconsistent with the product's care instructions or wash guide); or
- Usual wear and tear following use of the product.
Online Purchases
If you have received a faulty garment/item from an online order, please contact our Customer Service Department via email or live chat.
Elka Collective will reimburse any reasonable shipping charges for return of goods that are deemed faulty. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If you purchased a product with a major fault, you have the right to ask for your choice of a replacement or refund. If you purchased a product with a minor fault, we can choose to give you a free repair instead of a replacement or refund. Further information is available here.

We offer exchanges for alternate sizes if the above criteria are met. If you would like to exchange your item, please contact Customer Service via Live Chat (Mon–Fri, 8:30am–4:00pm) or use our Contact Form anytime, including your Order Number, original Item and Size, and the Size you'd like to exchange for.
RETURN IN STORE
If you have changed your mind with your in-store purchase(s), we offer refunds for full price items or exchanges on sale items within 14 days, provided:
Items are unworn (apart from initial try-on).
Items are unwashed.
Items are in original condition with garment tags attached.
All Elka Collective purchases made via David Jones online or concession stores must be returned to David Jones.
In Store Purchases
Sale items purchased in boutiques eligible for exchange within 14 days if they meet return criteria. Items marked as 'Archive' which are on sale are final sale, and non-refundable. If you have purchased an item in-store and would like to make a return, you can visit your local Elka Collective Boutique to do so. Click here to view our Store Locator. You will require proof of purchase in order to make the return. Please note that purchases made in store cannot be returned or exchanged online.
Providing the above return conditions are met, Elka Collective will accept non-sale merchandise for a refund or exchange. Sale merchandise is eligible for exchange or store credit only. Any items marked ARCHIVE or FINAL SALE on the receipt or swing tag, cannot be returned for an exchange or refund.
Items purchased at a David Jones Concession must be returned to a David Jones location.
