Vests

Vest tops over a sleeve or a bare arm

On the other rail, the knit vests take the same shape with none of the tailoring in it. A long sleeve underneath reads differently to a bare arm. Buttons run in one row from the chest to the point at the hem. Put tailored pants beneath and the day never gets round to asking for a jacket.

Deeper shades, and vests with sleeves

Charcoal and the deeper shades cover the most ground. The same idea with the arms covered is over with the blazers. Autumn is when this first comes out. Over a dress the length reads in two parts rather than one. Left open it hangs straight from the shoulder, and the front points swing clear of the waistband.
