Fine bands and wider signet rings

They arrive one at a time from a birthday, a trip, a Saturday in Melbourne, and end up worn together anyway. A fine band takes up almost nothing and gets lost among the rest of the jewellery. A signet is the opposite, wide across the finger and there to be looked at. The signet face is left plain. Two fine bands stacked on one finger read as a single line. On the smallest finger a signet looks like a decision.

Rings beside the bracelets and necklaces

Width decides the bracelets in exactly the same way. The necklaces work at the same scale, and gold and silver both run right through. Widths run from a millimetre or two up to something you notice on a hand. Sizing is the one part worth getting right the first time.
