Blazers
Blazers with a waist and blazers without
Most of them get worn open. A lower roll softens the whole front. Sleeves end up pushed back by mid morning without anyone deciding to. With tailored pants it holds a meeting. With jeans it holds nothing in particular. The pocket sits flat at the hip, a patch on one shape and a welt on the other. One button on the waisted cut, and a shoulder that stops where the arm does.
Blazers that go over a dress
A dress with an oversized blazer over it is one decision rather than two. The black blazers take most of the working weeks. The lapel runs narrow on one and wide on the other, and the notch sits higher on the waisted shape. By four it is over an arm rather than on a shoulder.
